This Privacy Policy governs the privacy policies and practices of our Website, located at ideawhisper.com, and our web application (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as it will help you make informed decisions about sharing your personal information with us.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in the following ways:

• Information You Provide to Us (Pro Users):
  • When you upgrade to a Pro account, we collect your email address to create and manage your account, provide customer support, and send you service-related communications.
  • Payment information for Pro accounts is processed by our third-party payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. We do not directly collect or store your full credit card details. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy will apply to the information you provide them.
• Information Automatically Collected (All Users):
  • Log and Usage Data: Like most websites and online services, we automatically collect log and usage data when you access or use our Service. This data may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, device information, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your access. We use Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) for this purpose. This data is primarily used to maintain the security and operation of our Service, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Firebase Anonymous Authentication: For users who do not create a Pro account (including participants and free-tier moderators), we use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to provide a seamless experience without requiring personal information. Firebase assigns a temporary, anonymous user ID to these sessions.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. • Session Content (Ideas, Prompts, Votes - Stored Temporarily):
  • As part of the Service, moderators create events, prompts, and inspiration cards. Participants submit ideas and cast votes. This content ("Session Content") is stored in our database (Firebase Firestore) to facilitate the session.
  • For free-tier users, Session Content from ended sessions is automatically deleted after a short retention period 24 hours.
  • For Pro users, we may offer longer retention or management options for Session Content, as defined by the Pro plan features.
  • We do not claim ownership of your Session Content.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect or receive:

• To provide, operate, and maintain our Service: This includes facilitating idea generation sessions, managing accounts, and enabling features.
• To improve, personalize, and expand our Service: We use usage data to understand how our Service is used and to make improvements.
• To communicate with you (Pro Users): To send you service updates, security alerts, support messages, and respond to your inquiries, using the email address you provide.
• To process your transactions (Pro Users): Via our third-party payment processor (Lemon Squeezy).
• For security and fraud prevention: To protect our Service, our users, and our rights.
• For compliance with legal obligations: We may process your information where it is reasonably necessary for compliance with our legal obligations.

3. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following situations:

• With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Examples include: payment processing (Lemon Squeezy), data analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), cloud hosting (Google Cloud Platform for Firebase). These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
• To Protect Rights and Safety: We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
• With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

Session Content (ideas, votes) is visible to the moderator of the session and, depending on the session phase and settings, to other participants within that specific session. Moderators can export session data.

4. DATA RETENTION

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

• Pro User Email Addresses: We retain your email address as long as your Pro account is active or as needed to provide you services.
• Session Content (Free Tier): Automatically deleted after a short retention period (e.g., 24-48 hours - Cloud Function'ınızdaki süreye göre belirtin) after the session has ended.
• Usage Data (Analytics): Retained according to Google Analytics for Firebase data retention policies, typically in an aggregated and anonymized form.

5. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (FOR PRO USERS)

If you are a Pro user, you may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by contacting us. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and email information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Service and/or comply with legal requirements.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or a higher age threshold where applicable under local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
